Chinese Spring Break

OK...The exams are over and all the papers have been graded.
So, the headmaster of the school invited some of the teachers out for dinner.
One of the favorite pass times here in Changxing is to go out to dinner with friends and family.
I've managed to get by for 7 months here in China without doing much drinking.
And I mean serious drinking where everybody had to slam their drinks and then they fill your glass up immediately afterwards....and then do it again!
So here are some photos from last nights party...My first time to blog hung over!

I'm supposed to play basketball today with some of these guys....We'll see how I'm feeling?
I'm sure they will understand if I don't stay long...or even show up.

This is our IT guy...Helped me clean up a virus I had in my computer.
Since I'm no computer whiz I need a guy like him around.
He also teaches my kids in computer class.
Very nice guy!!

Now I'm going to go into town and see about buying a ticket for Guilin.
Robyn and George are going South also and they found great rates to fly.
Almost as cheap a train ticket.
So I'm going to do a little price comparing.
We don't have any more classes until March 4th, so I'm going to take a few weeks and travel around China a bit more.

The Chinese New Year begins on February 18th and everybody is in the mood to celebrate already.
This is the biggest Holiday for the Chinese people so it should be quite a blow out.

Update: I just got back from travel agency...got a one way ticket to Guangzhou for around $50.
That's south of Guilin and near Hong Kong.
I might make a quick detour to Hong Kong just to check it out while I'm in the neighborhood.
Then take a train North back up to Guilin and Yang Shuo.
The weather here has warmed up considerably and who knows...I may get a wild hair and try to make it to Lhasa?

No matter where I go....It will be an adventure to say the least!!
